During even a moderate earthquake, files, charts, books and folders only need to slide forward a few inches to begin dumping from the shelf. Often the shelves are shorter than the files.

GripLip™ shelf extensions are ideal for legal or medical client files in standard open faced file shelving units that are designed to let the folders overhang the shelf edge a few inches.

GripLip™ shelf extensions mount to the shelf face and make the shelf the right proportional size for the files on the shelf.

These shelf extensions also have a raised front lip that prevents forward sliding and a GripStrip™ high friction mat on the top edge which further adds resistance to sudden seismic motions.

The rolled edge allows for easy removal and replacement of files due to its smooth polished surface.
